Menzies Distribution Solutions is looking to recruit a Stock Controller based at our Normanton depot. This role involves managing and supporting effective operational processes to ensure the accurate integrity of customer and supplier stock data, as well as ensuring compliance with operational procedures.
The Details:
* Salary: £28,243.80 (£12.78 per hour)
* Shift: Monday – Friday
* Hours: 09:00–18:00 (42.5 hours payable)
* Location: Normanton, WF6 2UA
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Maintain and manage Warehouse Management System (WMS)
* Address stock report issues
* Create an effective working environment and build a diverse, well-balanced team
* Collaborate with site, customer, and supplier stock teams, warehouse, and related departments to ensure clarity and consistency
* Ensure accurate recording of stock data
* Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock takes
* Adhere to customer stock and control procedures
* Report wastage
* Verify stock checks
* Maintain a safe working environment in compliance with H&S policies
* Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
* Maintain HACCP and BRC awareness
* Perform perpetual inventory and pallet control
* Ensure system controls are understood and adjustments are reported
* Facilitate efficient stock flow throughout the site
* Handle customer and supplier stock inquiries
* Ensure accurate records and complete information capture
* Maintain and develop relationships with existing suppliers
* Plan and conduct perpetual inventory counts and stock takes
* Respond promptly to stock queries
* Prepare and submit reports
