Senior Scientific Officer – Dr Leo M. Carlin Project title: Salary Range: from £28,344 to £45,357 (Depending on qualifications and experience)
Contract term: up to 18 months (maternity cover)
The CRUK Scotland Institute is a cancer research institute, situated in Glasgow with approximately 250 researchers split across 30 research groups consisting of PIs, postdoctoral scientists, PhD students and scientific officers. It is one of Europe's leading cancer research centres, supporting cutting-edge work into the molecular mechanisms of cancer development. Project outline
We are currently seeking a Senior Scientific Officer to join Dr Leo Carlin’s laboratory, working closely with Dr Ximena Raffo. They will take a leading role in the translational aspects of a multidisciplinary project focused on understanding how the tumour immune microenvironment drives pro-fibrotic responses in lung cancer. Applicants should hold a PhD or equivalent experience in biomedical sciences, cancer biology, or bioinformatics, with a strong interest in cancer immunology. While we welcome applicants from a range of scientific backgrounds, experience in omics data analysis is highly desirable.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent communication, organisational, and project management skills. Experience in manuscript preparation and contribution to scientific publications is expected.
