Role overview
Infrastructure Engineer | Critical Connectivity | Hybrid (3 days onsite)
We’re partnered with a fast-growing international tech provider delivering critical connectivity solutions across healthcare, security, infrastructure, and transport. With private equity backing and continued expansion, they’re scaling rapidly — and looking to add an Infrastructure Engineer to their high-performing team.
This role is all about owning BAU operations — keeping systems running smoothly, handling incidents, and problem-solving in real time. You’ll work closely with a team of senior engineers (who focus on projects), taking charge of day-to-day support and ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.
What you’ll be doing
* Incident & problem management — ticket handling, troubleshooting, and driving root cause analysis.
* Supporting VMware environments (not expert-level, but able to navigate and assist).
* Backup, recovery, patching, monitoring, and general system upkeep.
* Collaborating with senior engineers, leadership, and cross-functional teams.
* Documenting processes and keeping stakeholders informed.
What we’re looking for
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in an infrastructure/IT support role.
* Strong skills in Windows Server and exposure to Linux (Debian/RHEL).
* Good understanding of VMware (hands-on experience a plus, depth not essential).
* Clear communicator with strong people skills — able to handle incidents under pressure.
* Problem-solver with a proactive, can-do approach.
* Certifications are nice-to-have, but not essential (and training will be supported).
* A chance to develop towards Senior Infrastructure Engineer level with full support.
* Work on systems that underpin critical services in the real world.
* Hybrid: 3 days per week in the office
Interview Process
* Stage 1: 45-min Teams call with the hiring manager.
* Stage 2: 90-min onsite interview (technical Q&A with senior engineers + discussion with Management).
We actively welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences. This team thrives on different perspectives, and you’ll be joining a culture that values inclusion, growth, and fairness.
