Ownership: Private Equity Backed

Overview
We are partnering with a fast-growing, private equity–backed healthcare organisation seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial strategy and support the next stage of accelerated growth.
Operating in the healthcare or healthcare recruitment sector, the business is entering a high-growth phase focused on scaling operations, executing strategic acquisitions, and delivering a successful private equity exit within 3–5 years.
This role requires a commercially driven finance leader with experience in private equity environments, buy-and-build strategies, and high-growth businesses. The CFO will work closely with the CEO and investors to drive performance, strengthen financial infrastructure, and maximise enterprise value.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Partner with the CEO and Private Equity sponsors to define and execute the strategic growth plan
Lead financial strategy to support organic growth and M&A activity
Drive value creation initiatives in preparation for future exit (trade sale, secondary PE, or IPO)
Provide commercial insight to improve profitability, operational efficiency, and margin expansion
Oversee all financial operations including FP&A, reporting, treasury, tax, and controls
Lead the preparation of monthly board packs and investor reporting
Deliver robust financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning
Implement scalable systems, reporting tools, and financial infrastructure
Private Equity & Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary finance contact for investors, lenders, and board members
Manage banking relationships, debt facilities, and refinancing where required
Present financial performance and strategic initiatives at board and investor meetings
M&A and Value Creation
Lead financial aspects of acquisitions, integrations, and due diligence
Work with advisors on financial and tax due diligence processes
Identify and execute operational improvements to enhance EBITDA and valuation multiples
Leadership
Build and lead a high-performing finance team
Develop strong financial discipline and performance culture across the organisation
Partner with operational leaders to ensure data-driven decision making
Candidate Profile
Qualified accountant (ACA qualified only will be considered)
Proven experience as CFO or Finance Director in a private equity-backed business
Strong background in healthcare, healthcare services, or healthcare recruitment essential
Demonstrable experience in scaling high-growth businesses
Track record of supporting M&A, integrations, and exit processes
Strong commercial acumen and strategic mindset
Experience working closely with private equity investors and boards

Strong communicator able to influence senior stakeholders and investors
Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments
Data-driven with the ability to translate financial insight into strategic action
