Temporary Operations Manager (School) Responsibilities
This role will include, but not be limited to:
Providing operational oversight across finance, HR, administration, procurement, and compliance to ensure effective service delivery.
Leading and supporting operational teams, allocating resources efficiently, and maintaining seamless day-to-day functions.
Supporting financial management processes, including invoice approval, budget monitoring, and liaising on payroll administration.
Overseeing HR administration, including recruitment coordination, onboarding processes, staff records, and safeguarding documentation.
Ensuring the school environment remains safe, compliant, and well-maintained, with robust administrative systems in place.
Promoting and monitoring adherence to health and safety procedures throughout the school.
Managing relationships with external suppliers and contractors to ensure value for money and high-quality service provision.

Temporary Operations Manager (School) Experience Essentials
Demonstrable experience across HR, finance, and administrative functions
Proven track record in a senior operations or management role, overseeing staff, contractors (within an education environment), and operational resources
Strong IT proficiency, including MS Office, and familiarity with finance systems such as Xero
Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal abilities
Capacity to prioritise effectively, remain composed under pressure, and handle sensitive information with discretion
Sound knowledge of financial controls, HR procedures, health and safety regulations, and operational management
Location
Based in East Oxford, with parking available on site.
