Trainee Quantity Surveyor

* Salary: £30K - £45K
* Hours 8am – 5pm
* Office based
* Company Pension – Following 3 months service

* Holidays – 20 days holidays ( plus bank hols). Hols increase 1 day per year up to 25 days
Job Requirements
We are looking to employee a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to assist with commercial management across all projects.
Ideally, someone who has a Quantity Surveying Degree, 2-3 years’ experience, strong numeracy skills, attention to detail, IT proficiency (especially Excel), and good communication skills.
They will be working closely with the Commercial Manager; with their role & responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following tasks:
* Commercial management of projects from Contract Award, through to Practical Completion
* Liaising with Purchasing Dept, in relation to material procurement.
* Managing project variation accounts, through to Final Account negotiations / agreement
* Managing subcontractor accounts & payments
* Site visits to monitor progress
* Monthly cost reporting, highlighting potential cost variances & risks
* Monthly Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR)
* Liaising with Clients, Main Contractors, Subcontractors & Suppliers to develop relationships
