Job purpose:
We seek an electronics design engineer at our Farnborough facility to develop avionics sub-systems for our high-altitude Zephyr aircraft.
Responsibilities:
* Design and develop analogue and digital circuits for harsh thermal and radiation environments
* Manage the design of power sub-systems, including battery chargers, load management, and payload power supply
* Coordinate unit testing of avionics systems
* Oversee non-conformances throughout the design lifecycle
* Document lessons learned and suggest improvements
* Manage design changes via formal processes
Experience and Qualifications:
* Proficiency in analogue and digital electronic circuit design
* Experience with power electronics, power supplies, and battery management systems
* Capability to take a design from requirements to production, including testing and integration
* Proficiency with electronic CAD tools
* Experience in electronic component selection
Desirable:
* Experience in aerospace or UAS industries
* Knowledge of aerospace hardware standards DO-160, DO-254, ARP4754, ARP4761
* Experience with PLM or ERP systems
