The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a skilled and motivated Carpentry Tutor to join a leading education provider within a custodial setting.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support learners in developing practical carpentry skills, industry knowledge, and employability behaviours, helping them progress towards sustainable employment and positive long-term outcomes.
Working with small groups, you will deliver engaging, structured training while providing guidance and support tailored to individual learner needs.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality Carpentry training sessions to small learner groups
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons supporting varied learning styles
* Develop and maintain individual learning plans
* Track and monitor learner progress and achievement
* Provide advice, guidance, and mentoring to support progression
* Maintain a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment

Essential Criteria
* Level 3 qualification in Carpentry / Joinery (or equivalent)
* Teaching qualification (minimum Level 3) OR actively working towards one
* Strong hands-on industry experience in carpentry
* Experience delivering training, coaching, or mentoring
* Ability to engage and motivate learners from diverse backgrounds

* Assessor qualification (TAQA / CAVA)
* Experience within FE, apprenticeships or adult learning
* Experience working with challenging or disengaged learners
