Clinical Practice Administrator and Support Essential Requirements
Physiotherapy & Injury Clinic in Stony Stratford, Milton Keynes
This job is to start in May 2026, with some training in April 2026.
We are a busy, well-established physiotherapy and injury practice seeking an experienced and professional Medical Receptionist/ administrator/ co-ordinator to join our team.
This is a part-time role (approximately 17 hours per week) across three afternoons, including two evenings until 7:15pm. Flexibility to provide additional cover during staff holidays or sickness would be a strong advantage. There may be potential for increased hours in the future.
We are looking for someone who is confident dealing with people, enjoys working in a healthcare setting, and takes pride in running an organised, welcoming front desk.
Essential Experience & Skills
* Proven experience in a reception, administrative or front-of-house role
* Experience working with the public and handling sensitive conversations professionally
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Strong computer skills, including Word and Excel
* Confident managing a computerised appointment system for multiple practitioners
* Ability to prioritise workload and manage a busy reception environment
* Comfortable handling accounts, payments and basic financial administration
Desirable
* Previous experience in a healthcare or clinical setting
* Knowledge of medical or insurance invoicing procedures
* Understanding of physiotherapy, sports therapy, massage or Pilates
Key Responsibilities
* Welcoming and assisting patients in a warm and professional manner
* Managing phone calls and patient enquiries
* Scheduling and coordinating appointments across multiple practitioners
* Processing payments and balancing daily receipts
* Invoicing insurance companies
* Banking and reconciliation
* Maintaining an organised and professional reception area
* Providing administrative support to the clinical team
* Taking minutes at occasional staff meetings
* Preparing refreshments for staff when required
