Site Supervisor – Civil & M&E Location: Walpole, Norfolk Rate: £400.00 per day (Outside IR35) Contract Type: Full-time, site-based, contract Duration: 2-year project | 6-month contract | Start: 26 August 2025 Hours: 50 hours per week (Monday to Friday) MRR Infrastructure is partnering with a leading global engineering and construction consultancy delivering critical infrastructure projects across the UK transmission and distribution network. We are currently seeking a versatile Site Supervisor who is confident working across both civil and M&E disciplines to support the construction of a new 400kV substation in Norfolk. This position is ideal for an experienced professional looking to join a long-term, high-value project within a high-performing team. Role Overview: You will support the Site Manager in supervising on-site operations, managing subcontractor activities, and ensuring delivery against programme, quality and safety standards. The successful candidate should be experienced across all substation disciplines, including civil, mechanical, electrical, fencing and commissioning. There is an opportunity to work towards SR163 authorisation to provide site cover as required. Key Responsibilities: * Supervise the day-to-day delivery of both civil and M&E works * Ensure site activities comply with CDM regulations and company procedures * Support the implementation of Safe Systems of Work, including issuing Permits to Dig and Hot Works permits * Coordinate subcontractors, ensuring adherence to safety, quality and productivity standards * Produce timely reports and ensure effective record-keeping * Support generation of as-built drawings and QA documentation * Assist with short-term site management responsibilities when required * Uphold high standards of health, safety, environmental and quality performance * Foster collaboration between subcontractors, the client and wider project stakeholders * Contribute to meeting or exceeding all agreed project KPIs Essential Requirements: * Minimum 5 years’ experience in the T&D sector, ideally on National Grid projects * Prior supervisory experience across civil and/or M&E substation activities * National Grid Competent Person NSI 6 & 8 (Full) * CSCS or CCNSG Safety Passport * Full UK driving licence * IOSH Managing Safely, SMSTS or SSSTS * First Aid (3-day), HSG47 * Strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills * Ability to lead by example and work independently on site Desirable: * HNC/HND in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering * Temporary Works Coordinator or Supervisor certification * Formal mechanical or electrical training * Impressed Voltage training * IOSH Environmental or equivalent * Familiarity with National Grid transmission procedures Additional Information: * Site-based role requiring mobility across construction terrain * National travel may be required depending on project needs * Candidates must be able to arrange their own travel and accommodation
