An established organisation based in Leatherhead is looking to recruit a Assistant Management Accountant to support its finance function during a period of continued growth. This role is ideal for someone part-qualified or actively studying ACCA or CIMA, who is keen to build hands-on experience across management accounting and financial reporting.
The Opportunity
Working closely with the wider finance team, you will contribute to accurate reporting, financial controls, and month-end processes, while gaining exposure to a broad range of accounting activities.
Key duties will include:

Supporting month-end close activities, including journals, reconciliations, and reporting
*
Assisting with the preparation and analysis of management information
*
Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet accounts across multiple entities and currencies
*
Processing and reconciling bank transactions and payment collections
*
Preparing VAT returns and supporting statutory compliance requirements
*
Producing regular financial and operational reports for internal stakeholders
*
Monitoring fixed assets, inventory, and cost performance
*
Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
*
Supporting audit preparation and year-end reporting processes
*
Contributing to sustainability, payroll-related reporting, and other ad hoc finance projects
*
Ensuring accurate financial records are maintained in line with internal controls
About You
This role would suit someone with a strong foundation in accounting who enjoys working to deadlines and getting involved in a variety of finance tasks.
You’ll ideally have:

Experience in an accounts or finance role within a fast-paced environment
*
Active study towards ACCA or CIMA (AAT qualification beneficial but not essential)
*
A methodical and organised approach to work
*
Strong Excel capability, including data analysis and reporting tools
*
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
