About the Role
As a Ganger, you’ll play a crucial role in our maintenance team, leading a group of skilled professionals to carry out a variety of complex tasks. Your responsibilities will include:
* Safeguarding and operating specialist equipment, ensuring all maintenance and PUWER sheets are completed accurately.
* Performing a range of repair works on highways assets, including carriageways, footways, kerbs, and more.
* Providing guidance and training to colleagues while adhering to Kier’s Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards.
* Managing daily operations to ensure a safe work environment for both staff and the public.
* Conducting point of work risk assessments to maintain safety and compliance.
* Planning work based on technical documents and drawings, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you can:
* Lead teams effectively and thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Hold an SMSTS/SSSTS or similar qualification.
* Drive and possess a full driving license.
