Description Learning Academy Partnership Class Teacher – 1.0 FTE Jacobstow Community Academy Fixed Term Maternity Cover until 31st August 2026 Main Teachers Pay Scale Anticipated Start Date November 2025 The Learning Academy Partnership has an exciting opportunity for a class Teacher to join our Trust, based in our gorgeous village school, Jacobstow Community Academy. Jacobstow is a happy school that works closely with the local community to foster and nurture relationships with children, parents, and their families, so the whole community is supported. Set in beautiful grounds within a small rural village, just a 15-minute drive from Bude and a 30-minute drive from Launceston, Jacobstow offers a rich and vibrant curriculum that is distinctive to the community. At the heart of Jacobstow is the vision that every child will achieve the very best they can, and fulfil their dreams, hopes and ambitions. We value our incredible relationships with our families and local community, working together along with our Hub Schools (St Marks C of E Academy and Marhamchurch C of E Academy) who share best practice and expertise to enable all children to live life to the fullest, regardless of their starting point. Our vision is for every child to be confident and happy as we nurture and support their development, so they flourish in all they do. We value learning both inside and outside the classroom and foster an environment in which all children are valued and respected and grow in confidence. Through our carefully designed curriculum, we aim to ensure that all our children have the best start in life and are fully prepared for the next stage of their education. We are looking for a class teacher to join us who is inspired by our mission and wants to be part of a Trust where everything begins and ends with children. A collaborative team spirit prevails; the school is an exciting and fulfilling place to work and we are looking for someone who will be interested in being part of its success. Regardless of where you are in your teaching journey, whether you are an Early Careers Teacher or an experienced Teacher, we would love to hear from you! We encourage applications from people from all backgrounds and aim to have a workforce that represents the wider communities that we serve. We champion diversity, inclusion and wellbeing and aim to create a workplace where everyone feels valued and a sense of belonging. Our School Trust is underpinned by our four core beliefs; we are stronger together, a sense of belonging; removing barriers and realising the possible. This means that by working collectively, we can achieve our absolute best to ensure that children, especially the most vulnerable, can flourish. We can offer you: • The opportunity to make a profound difference to children’s lives • An impactful People Strategy that enables us to nurture, develop and support our colleagues so that they can provide the very best for our children • A culture that takes work-life balance extremely seriously for all its colleagues • The chance to work as part of a collective in a values-led school Trust, a single organisation • High quality professional development and regular training to develop your knowledge and skills • A strong, proactive wellbeing network across the School Trust • The potential for future career development • Access to a 24-hour Employee Assistance Programme • Trust benefit schemes • Generous Teachers Pension Scheme All our schools are each at the centre of their local communities and celebrate their individuality and distinctiveness. A core feature in how we work as a School Trust is our collective approach in delivering an exceptional education for all children. We do this through working very closely together in mutual support and challenge to empower excellence for our children, families, and the communities that we serve. In short, our ethos is one of working together to Empower, Excel, Together. We want to support you in deciding if we are a School Trust that you would like to join.
