MDSec are a security consultancy based in Macclesfield, UK. As an established boutique, we perform technical security assessments for a diverse range of clients focusing on high street banks and financials within the UK and wider EU/US, and hold the top industry accreditations within CREST and NCSC for security assessment.
We’re looking for at least one UK based consultant to join our team based from our Cheshire office. The right person will be highly technical and should view info sec as more than just a job but a passion.
You must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Senior Application Security Consultant at MDSec. The Senior Application Security Consultant will be responsible for conducting security assessments on web, mobile and thick client applications, providing technical expertise to clients, and conducting code reviews. They will also be involved in developing security strategies, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending solutions to enhance security posture.
Qualifications
* Experience in application security, mobile security, and code reviews
* Proficiency in conducting security assessments and penetration testing
* Experience in developing exploits for common web-centric vulnerabilities
* Desirable certifications such as OSWE and CCT App
* Vulnerability research including fuzzing, crash triaging and exploit development
* Solid programming skills, any of C, C++, Java, C#, python, ruby, x86 or ARM assembler
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
