Overview

We are seeking a professional and organised Receptionist/Administrator to join our team at Benim Medical Centre. The ideal candidate should have experience within EMIS Web an has worked within General Practice previously. Training can be provided for the successful candidate.

The candidate will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers to Benim Medical Centre, providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth administrative operations. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop valuable office skills within a dynamic environment. The ideal applicant will possess strong communication ability, friendly manner, proficient computer skills particularly in EMIS Web with a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

* Greet visitors and direct them appropriately, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanour at all times
* Answer incoming calls promptly and courteously, managing enquiries with excellent phone etiquette
* Manage the reception area to ensure it remains tidy and welcoming
* Handle day to day administrative activity.
* Maintain and book appointment schedules.
* Assist with administrative duties such as prescriptions, filing, photocopying, and processing correspondence
* Support office staff with organisational tasks to ensure operational efficiency
* Perform basic clerical functions including typing documents, updating records, and managing incoming/outgoing mail

Requirements

* Previous office experience or clerical experience is highly desirable
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
* Proficient in computer skills, EMIS Web, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
* Excellent phone etiquette with clear communication skills
* Ability to perform data entry accurately and efficiently
* Good typing speed and attention to detail
* Organised with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
* Professional demeanour with excellent organisational skills and a friendly attitude

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week
