Overview
We are recruiting for a caring and creative Support Practitioner to join our small and dynamic TeamSanderson on a permanent basis. The role provides 1:1 support to a young lady with learning disabilities, behaviours that can challenge and limited mobility. She loves music, going out for drives and socialising. No two days are the same. You will support with all aspects of daily living, including cooking, housework, personal care, finances and medication. By taking a person-centred approach you will get to know the person we support on a personal basis and support with her interests and hobbies.
The Role
As a Support Practitioner you will play a crucial part in supporting with daily living tasks and activities, helping the person maintain independence and well-being.
About You
We recruit on values and transferable skills, so you don't need previous experience or qualifications to start your career with us. We have our own Training Academy that will give you the skills you need, including the opportunity to complete your SVQ. To be a great Support Practitioner we will need you to have the following qualities:
* Great listener with excellent communication skills.
* Caring attitude and approach.
* Positive approach to learning.
* Able to follow guidelines.
* Full UK manual driving licence (minimum 1 year driving experience).
* Confidence in the use of technology.
Shift Patterns
The service runs as a sleepover arrangement. You will start your shift at 9am and finish at 9am the next day. The team is experienced and will provide support as you settle in.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and work towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support of our Training Academy.
