Introduction
The Director of Customer Analytics is a senior leader within the FP&A organization, reporting directly to the VP, FP&A. This role is responsible for the GTM financial model, long term GTM plan and quarterly customer insight across the company. He / she will drive deep understanding of customer health, retention, revenue, and product adoption – and translating complex data into strategic decisions that support Finance and Executive team.
Job Responsibilities
Customer Financial Analytics
- Lead 2 analysts focused on customer financial performance and reporting
- Own ARR, GDR, churn, and expansion metric plan and forecast – the authoritative source for Finance and leadership
- Collaborate closely with GTM executives to ensure alignment on assumptions
- Build and maintain customer health score models with a financial lens
- Identify revenue risks and opportunities through cohort and segmentation analysis
Finance Partnership
- Partner within FP&A to align customer analytics with revenue forecasting and planning cycles
- Financial ownership of the Budget and Quarterly corporate forecast across Pipeline, Bookings, Churn, ARR and other related KPIs
- Serve as the analytical counterpart in Finance for Board and investor reporting
- Support exit and M&A activities as needed
Stakeholder & Executive Reporting
- Deliver quarterly customer performance reporting to senior stakeholders (ELT, BOD)
- Provide ELT with visibility into cohort-level performance with the ability to double‑click into the details
- Transition toward more strategic forecasting supported by AI‑driven automation
Knowledge and Experience
- 8+ years of analytics experience in a B2B SaaS or technology environment
- Deep understanding of the full GTM funnel – Pipeline to Bookings to Revenue to Capacity
- Customer health, churn, and retention modeling expertise
- ARR, GDR, NDR and Growth analysis
- Proficiency in new AI tools to improve financial insight and visualizations
- Proven ability to lead complex, high-level financial modeling and drive team‑wide analytical standards
- Expert ability to translate complex financial data into clear, influential, and educational narratives for the Executive Leadership Team
- Strong executive communication, both influential and educational
- Ability to simplify complex analysis
- Cross‑functional collaboration skills working across multiple organizations
Education
BA/BS in Finance or related subject; MBA preferred
