Your Role
The role of Marketing Manager will involve:
ZEISS Vision Care UK and Ireland are recruiting for an experienced Marketing Manager. This position will report to the Senior Marketing Manager and work alongside a team of six other experienced Marketers.
This position will require you to work closely & collaboratively with the existing marketing Manager, as well as the Commercial Team and be responsible for leading, developing, executing, and evaluating the required marketing deliverables in line with the brand and channel strategy to ensure our ambitious growth targets are achieved.
The ‘Channels’ include the network of UK and Ireland Independent Opticians and Mid-size Key Accounts such as Bayfields, Cubitts, Costco, Scrivens and M&S Opticians.
This position will provide leadership, support and functional expertise on strategic cross functional priority projects and initiatives
* Lead/manage Marketing initiatives for the Independent Opticians Channel in UK and Ireland, working in partnership with the Marketing & Commercial Teams (UK and Ireland Commercial Directors, National Sales Managers, and the Commercial Field Team).
* Lead/manage Marketing initiatives for mid-size Key Accounts such as Bayfields, Cubitts, Scrivens and M&S Opticians, working in partnership with Key Account Director and Key Account Commercial Teams to support delivery of Joint Business Plans on time & in budget, monitoring activity & areas for improvement.
* Manage/lead the delivery of ZEISS Customised & Standardised Point of Sale (POS) for the Independent Opticians’ channel. Identify opportunities to improve the quality of the offer. Identify and implement cost and process efficiencies. Working with our external partners to monitor stock & ordering of POS, ensuring the latest marketing material is available. Own & develop process for reporting on POS to share with Commercial with recommendations. Provide Account Managers with Customised POS support, managing the briefing process, creation & delivery of varied customised POS within budget.
* Manage/lead the delivery of ZEISS Partner Programme (customer loyalty scheme) as a lever to retain existing, attract new, grow existing independent optician partner network.
* Marketing lead for multiple product launches and portfolio updates* – tailored to specific channel requirements. Ensuring to create, refine, maintain B2B & B2B2C sales materials (print & digital) in line with the latest product portfolio. Creating new assets and / or localising existing Global assets in line with brand guidelines.
* * taking ownership of an area of the portfolio: Lenses, VTS, Consumer EyeCare
* Manage local & national B2B & B2C media campaigns, working closely with our creative & media partners as well as the wider marketing team considering our other customer channels.
* Conduct customer visits with Account Managers (at least quarterly) to stay informed on market requirements & how our ZEISS & our services / marketing support is being received / perceived in field.
* Managing & optimising stock & usage of marketing collateral including Demonstration Tools both B2B & B2B2C
* Work with HQ (Germany) to understand marketing initiatives and tools available and adapt and implement as required for local market.
* Provide varied & ongoing leadership, support and functional expertise for marketing team as requested on key projects.
* Work collaboratively with cross functional teams including Commercial, IT, Finance, Operations, Customer Care and our Corporate partners. Providing Ad Hoc Marketing support for internal comms & projects
* Challenge our thinking with new opportunities that deliver against business and brand.
* Manage local & international events from concept through to delivery and post event evaluation.
Your Experience
As a Marketing Manager you will have:
* Proven track record of success and ROI in B2B, B2B2C marketing management role
* Proven experience in leading the creation and delivery of B2B / B2B2C campaigns / projects
* Proven skills in analytical thinking, data-based decision making
* Demonstrates strong project management and stakeholder skills
* Experience in working in partnership with internal commercial teams, and external customers to develop collaborative marketing plans with trackable objectives & budget management
* Can-do, hands-on attitude
* Brand champion
* Customer focused
* Great collaborator, team player
* Strong communication & presentation skills (written and verbal)
* Attention to detail
* Experience in managing and working with external agency partners
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in marketing
You will ideally have:
* Proven academics: Degree qualified or equivalent
* Experience in B2C marketing
* Have experience using CRM tool, Salesforce
* Experience in leading product launches
* Experience of creating & running B2B loyalty / engagement programme
