Business Development Manager – Automated Gates & Barriers
Location: Home‑based (anywhere between Bristol and Preston/York)
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth in the automated gates, barriers, doors, and shutters sector. This is a hands‑on role combining surveying and sales, with responsibility for developing new business and expanding relationships across commercial clients.
The Role
* Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and referrals.
* Conduct site surveys and sales appointments, providing tailored solutions for installations, repairs, and maintenance contracts.
* Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
* Prepare and follow up on quotations, logging activity in CRM for accurate reporting.
* Deliver monthly sales reports and forecasts, meeting agreed targets.
* Stay up to date with legislation, technology, and competitor activity.
* Represent the company at industry events and trade shows.
About You
* Proven sales experience in automated gates, barriers, doors, or shutters.
* Strong customer focus with excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Self‑motivated, energetic, and able to work independently.
* Skilled in account development and front‑line sales.
* Organised, detail‑oriented, and committed to meeting targets and deadlines.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the territory.
