Ensuring all Business Contracts are fit for purpose and meet legal and financial requirements is crucial to our success. This role supports Business Services Account Managers and New Business Account Managers across all sales channels, providing first-line advisory support to ensure contracts are robust and compliant.
You will oversee the controls, storage, and ownership of all contracts within Business Services post-signature, ensuring they are audit-ready for Internal Audit, Legal, Finance, and external audits. Your role is vital in attesting to the robustness and compliance of our contracts, safeguarding the integrity of our business operations.
What will I be doing?
* Govern and store all contracts, ensuring compliance with Finance, Legal, and Commercial requirements.
* Liaise with commercial business units, including Roadside, Drivetech, Accident Management, AAX, Prestige, and Keys.
* Lead interactions with internal and external auditors, risk, and governance teams, acting as the subject matter expert on commercial contracts.
* Manage internal and external audits, fulfilling regulatory requirements.
* Conduct regular audit checks to ensure contract rates and invoice rates match.
* Provide regular reporting to senior stakeholders on contract status and renewal pipeline using CRM systems.
* Assist Group Finance, Internal Audit, and Business Services Risk function with regular contract attestations.
* Support Bid Managers and New Business Managers during the tendering process, offering contract guidance before full Legal reviews.
* Develop and evolve long-form contracts in collaboration with legal and finance departments.
* Offer ongoing contract guidance and support to Business Services Account Management and New Business managers.
* Conduct annual peer reviews of high-value contracts with the Account Management team.
* Maintain and update B2B contract storage on CRM and other repositories.
What do I need?
* Proven contracts experience in a large B2B environment.
* Deep understanding of contract clauses and their impacts on the business.
* History of working in Procurement or Legal sectors.
* Sector experience in AA, Motor, or Leasing is ideal.
* Well-organised and diligent in managing tasks and responsibilities.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills, especially with senior stakeholders.
* Highly results-driven with a keen eye for detail.
* Effective decision-making abilities to navigate complex situations.
* Strong financial acumen and understanding of financial principles.
* Ability to solve complex problems efficiently and effectively.
