Duties
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
* Supervise kitchen staff, delegating tasks and ensuring efficient workflow
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations
* Oversee meal preparation, ensuring timely service during busy periods
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock ordering to ensure availability of ingredients
* Train new staff members on food preparation techniques and safety procedures
* Ensure cleanliness of kitchen equipment and work areas at all times
* Serve meals when required, providing excellent customer service and maintaining professionalism
Skills
* Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management
* Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
* Experience in meal preparation within a fast-paced environment, preferably in a restaurant or catering setting
* Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations to ensure compliance
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
* Good communication skills for effective team leadership and customer interaction
* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
* Previous experience in serving customers is advantageous but not essential
