Overview
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN – GLASGOW – £28-£32K + 10% ANNUAL BONUS. OPR are working with a leading Build to Rent operator to source a proactive and hands-on Maintenance Technician for a flagship residential development in Glasgow City Centre. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering high-quality maintenance and customer service in a vibrant community setting.
Responsibilities
* Carry out day-to-day maintenance across apartments and communal areas, including painting, decorating, joinery, and basic plumbing/electrical tasks
* Support the mobilisation of the building, including snagging, defect management, and contractor coordination
* Conduct daily compliance checks and planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
* Manage apartment turnarounds, ensuring high standards between tenancies
* Liaise with residents and contractors to ensure timely resolution of issues
* Maintain stock levels and ensure all tools and equipment are available for tasks
* Ensure all areas of the building, including exterior and car parks, are clean and well-presented
About You
* Previous experience in residential maintenance, ideally within BTR, PRS, PBSA or hospitality sectors
* Skilled in carpentry, joinery, painting & decorating; basic plumbing/electrical knowledge desirable
* Strong understanding of Health & Safety compliance; IOSH certification is a plus
* Organised, proactive, and able to manage your own workload effectively
* A team player with a positive attitude and a genuine passion for customer service
