Working term time only, this role offers the chance to achieve great work-life balance while building valuable skills in a supportive, professional environment. You’ll work closely with Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, and other specialists to deliver life-changing support for children and young people with additional needs.
About the role
As a Therapy Assistant, you will:
* Working term time only (36 hours per week),
* Support and deliver individual, group, or class-based therapy activities under therapist guidance
* Use communication tools such as iPads and Makaton with non-verbal students
* Work collaboratively with teaching and therapy staff to integrate support into the classroom
* Show empathy, compassion, and resilience when supporting students with diverse needs
* Benefit from comprehensive training and mentoring, including safeguarding and autism awareness
What we’re looking for
* A positive “can do” attitude
* Strong physical and mental resilience
* A genuine interest in working in a therapeutic or SEN setting
* Flexibility to work 36 hours per week during term time only
