An opportunity has arisen for a senior disputes lawyer to join a growing Channel Islands insolvency and financial services litigation team. The Jersey practice sits at the centre of sophisticated cross-border disputes involving insolvency officeholders, banks, trustees, investment structures and corporate stakeholders. The work is technical, often urgent and regularly intersects with proceedings in London and other major financial centres. This hire forms part of the team’s continued expansion and offers genuine responsibility from day one. Scope of Work Acting on contentious insolvencies and restructurings Advising on shareholder, director and corporate governance disputes Handling complex trust litigation for trustees and beneficiaries Managing interim relief applications, disclosure battles and enforcement strategy Working closely with corporate and funds colleagues where disputes risk arises within live transactions The role combines courtroom exposure, advisory depth and commercial strategy. Senior associates are expected to run material workstreams and maintain direct client contact. Specific Candidate Requirements 5 years’ PQE in insolvency and or commercial litigation Training and experience within a recognised disputes practice Strong academic background Demonstrable experience handling complex, multi-party matters Commercial judgement and confidence engaging with sophisticated clients Offshore experience is helpful but not required. Strong onshore litigators seeking broader responsibility and international exposure are also encouraged to apply.
