Job description
You will assist the General Manager in managing a profitable business unit that meets budgetary expectations. You will ensure that the business unit always represents the company in the best possible light while adhering to core values.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervising and monitoring the work of production staff to ensure quality and safety standards are met
2. Understanding and monitoring the hours, materials, consumables, and equipment quoted on a job to ensure timely and budgetary completion
3. Organising and attending various client meetings, maintaining regular client communication, and addressing any technical or operational queries
4. Daily management of contractors and sub-contractors for assigned projects
5. Planning labour and materials to keep jobs on schedule and within budget
6. Ensuring compliance with SHE procedures
Job Requirements:
7. Marine experience with a strong understanding of the industry (Fabrication/Welding/Pipe knowledge)
8. Good understanding of IT packages, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
9. Strong communication skills, including spoken and written English
10. Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematic parts manuals, diagrams, and associated technical data and specifications
11. Previous experience in supervising personnel, including monitoring work output and quality
12. A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to meet business needs
