Toolmaker – Wareham
An established precision engineering manufacturer is looking to recruit an experienced Toolmaker to join its skilled production team. Key Responsibilities
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
* Manufacturing bespoke jigs and fixtures
* Operating and programming XYZ ProtoTRAK milling machines
* Carrying out manual milling and turning operations
* Producing high‑quality components to ISO9001 standards
* Deburring and polishing finished components
* Conducting self‑inspection throughout the manufacturing process
* Supporting the creation of work instructions and documentation
* Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and health & safety
Requirements
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in manual machining, including milling and turning
* Ability to work from engineering drawings
* Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
* Capable of working independently and within a teamReliable, organised, and self‑motivated approach
* Keen to develop within a growing engineering environment
