Project Engineer
Based in Carlton, Barnsley, S71 3HF - The home of Mr Kipling
Salary - £36,000 - £43,000 per annum
Permanent, Full time (39 hours per week, 08:30 - 17:00)
A full time, permanent opportunity has arisen at our Barnsley site for a Project Engineer to join the team. You will be responsible for managing the end to end delivery of multiple capital-based infrastructure, growth and cost out projects to specification, time and cost plan, achieving the highest of engineering and professional standards.
The successful candidate will:
1. Develop a pipeline of suitable projects, inc, feasibility studies, cost benefit analysis, etc.,
2. Lead compilation of capital authority request documentation / narrative
3. Lead and engage end users in the development of engineering scope
4. Manage all health and safety aspects of capital projects (eg CDM requirements)
5. Report project progress: tracking of milestones, activity, priorities, financials
6. Ensure compliance at pre-delivery milestones to user acceptance test protocols
What we need from you:
7. Engineering Degree or equivalent
8. Up to 5 years Food & FMCG background
9. Extensive capital project management experience with a customer focus
10. Conversant with relevant legislation (eg, IEE 17th Edition, DSEAR, etc)
11. Demonstrable record in successful delivery of engineering capital projects in FMCG with emphasis on specification /planning /implementation/ validation.
12. MS Project proficient
13. Experience of modern manufacturing practice
14. Food processing and associated equipment knowledge
15. Collaborative approach, with ability to communicate at all levels
16. Ability to deliver results on time and cost in a pressurised and trade union environment
17. Understanding customer needs and being proactive with actions
18. A self-starter, enthusiastic, positive, energetic and resourceful
