Milk Education is pleased to be working in partnership with a supportive and welcoming primary school in Northumberland to recruit a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant for a full-time position starting in 2026.
This role is ideal for a Teaching Assistant who has experience delivering targeted interventions and enjoys supporting older primary pupils to make strong academic progress.
The Role:
Supporting class teachers across Key Stage 2 with general classroom duties
Delivering small-group and 1:1 interventions in core subjects, particularly English and Maths
Assisting with the delivery of lessons across the KS2 curriculum
Supporting pupils with additional needs (SEN) where required
Monitoring and supporting pupil progress during intervention sessions
Helping to maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-structured learning environment
This is primarily a general TA role, with a strong focus on supporting pupils through structured intervention work.
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting
Experience supporting pupils in Key Stage 2
Experience delivering intervention programmes or targeted support
A positive, calm, and proactive approach
Strong behaviour management and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
