Housing Support & Inclusion Officer
Full-time, Office Based
We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Housing Support & Inclusion Officer to help prevent homelessness and support households in finding and sustaining long-term housing.
Key Responsibilities
* Support households to remain in their homes and prevent homelessness
* Assist those in temporary or emergency accommodation to secure longer-term housing
* Provide housing advice across private, social, and family arrangements
* Carry out home visits and work in community settings
* Collaborate with landlords, partner agencies, and support services
* Help customers maximise income, resolve benefit issues, and develop budgeting skills
* Record accurate case notes and maintain effective data collection
What We're Looking For
* Experience in customer service and working with the public
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to motivate and engage customers
* Resilience and ability to work under pressure
* Creative problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team
* Proficient in Microsoft Office with accurate data entry skills
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Requirements
* Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle during working hours
* Enhanced DBS check
* Flexible to travel when needed
