Assessor/Trainer – Electrical Installation
Based in Cambridgeshire and neighbouring counties (agile working included)
£29,777 – £34,600 per annum
Full-Time | Permanent | Hybrid (on-site, workplace visits & remote admin)
Are you an experienced Electrical Installation professional looking to inspire the next generation? We’re looking for a passionate Assessor/Trainer to support apprentices through their learning journey, from on-site assessments to EPA preparation.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Managing a caseload of electrical installation apprentices
Delivering high-quality training and ongoing support
Conducting workplace assessments and progress reviews
Monitoring, tracking, and recording apprentice progress
Guiding learners through End Point Assessment (EPA) preparation
Building strong relationships with both apprentices and employers
Contributing to continuous improvement and business development
Staying current with industry updates, Health & Safety, and best practices
Maintaining accurate records and documentationThis role offers agile working flexibility, combining on-site responsibilities, remote admin work from home, and travel for workplace visits.
What We’re Looking For:
Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Domestic & Commercial Electrical Installation
Significant industry experience in the electrical trade
Assessor and/or IQA qualification (desirable, but not essential)
Experience teaching, mentoring, or assessing learners
Sound knowledge of Apprenticeship Standards and EPA requirements
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Confident with IT systems and digital tools
Full UK driving licence and access to a business-insured vehicle (or reliable travel within Cambridgeshire and neighbouring counties)
