Are you an experienced HSE Manager looking to join a leading manufacturing business based in Heanor, Derbyshire. As the HSE Manager you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing health, safety, and environmental programs, ensuring compliance. Along with promoting a culture of safety and sustainability across the sites. Ideally, you will have experience of working within a chemical manufacturing business previously, however will consider other backgrounds. Offering a salary of £65-70K depending on experience

The Role:
* Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with sustainability goals and regulatory requirements
* Ensure continued compliance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Management Systems
* Advise management on compliance requirements regarding applicable UK and EU legislation, ensuring required compliance
* Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions
* Lead incident investigations and ensure timely reporting and documentation of findings.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution.
* Provide training and guidance to employees on HSE best practices and regulatory compliance.
* Monitor and analyze HSE performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
* Foster a "Speak Up" culture where employees feel safe to raise concerns and contribute to a safe working environment
* Stay informed of industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance and innovation in HSSE practices
Suitable Candidate:
Experienced HSE Manager ideally from a chemical manufacturing background - will consider other industries
NEBOSH Diploma in occupational safety and health
Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management - as a minimum
Internal Auditor - ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and standards
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels
Strong understanding of mechanical and process hazards and controls
Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and inclusive environment
