We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Performing Arts Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Maidstone. This permanent position is set to begin in September for the new academic year. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering high-quality performing arts education to students, fostering both their creative and academic development.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging performing arts lessons in line with the curriculum.
* Direct and produce school performances and encourage student participation in external competitions and festivals.
* Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide constructive feedback to promote their artistic growth.
* Collaborate with other teaching staff to integrate performing arts into the broader educational program.
* Maintain a positive, creative, and safe learning environment for all students.
* Participate in departmental meetings, school training, and development sessions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Experience in teaching performing arts in a secondary school setting.
* Strong background in drama, dance, music, or a related field.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to inspire and motivate students.
* Passion for the arts and education.
