Design Lead job based in Gloucester for an experienced architect to lead education sector projects across early RIBA stages. The role focuses on concept design, spatial strategy and client engagement, supporting the delivery of schools, colleges and higher education projects within a collaborative architectural team.
Practice & Project Information
This established architectural practice works across a range of sectors including education, commercial, healthcare and residential projects. The successful candidate will join a dedicated education team delivering projects across schools, colleges and universities, with a strong focus on design quality, collaboration and sustainable design.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead education sector projects across RIBA Stages 1 to 3
* Develop design concepts and spatial strategies for learning environments
* Collaborate with clients, consultants and stakeholders on project briefs
* Lead internal design reviews, workshops and presentations
* Support project teams in maintaining design quality throughout development
* Mentor junior architects and designers within the team
Required Skills and Experience
* ARB registered Architect or equivalent qualification
* Strong portfolio demonstrating education sector projects
* Experience delivering projects across schools, colleges or higher education
* Proven experience leading RIBA Stages 1 to 3
* Knowledge of Department for Education guidance and standards
* Strong presentation, communication and team leadership skills
