This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours. Our core business hours are Monday to Friday – 10am to 3pm with a flexible approach to start and finish times

About the Role
Hobbycraft is the UK’s leading art and craft retailer with 108 stores across the UK, a website that has grown substantially over the last 5 years and an app that was launched in 2023.
We’re seeking a commercially driven Digital Advertising Manager to lead our Paid Media strategy and play a pivotal role in driving customer acquisition, brand awareness, and revenue growth across our stores, website, and app. This exciting role is essential to increasing awareness of our value proposition, attracting new customers, and boosting sales from existing ones—ultimately delivering measurable growth for the business.
In this role, you’ll manage a significant online marketing budget and lead performance-driven campaigns across PPC, Paid Social, YouTube and VOD, as well as our newly launched Affiliate program. Reporting to the Head of Digital Marketing, you’ll collaborate closely with SEO, CRM & Loyalty, Customer Insights, and Digital Trading teams, as well as our media agency, media platform and content creation stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
* Own and optimise the digital advertising budget and media mix (PPC, Paid Social, Affiliate, YouTube, VOD) to achieve performance KPIs and ROI targets
* Develop and execute digital media plans aligned to key trading moments, managing multiple campaigns simultaneously at pace
* Lead the relationship with media platforms and our media agencies, ensuring delivery of performance, innovation, and strategic testing across channels
* Manage third-party partners including Product Feed providers and Affiliate SaaS platform
* Collaborate with the brand and creative teams to brief and develop static and video content; monitor and report on creative performance
* Regularly report on campaign results, comparing against targets and presenting insights to stakeholders with confidence
* Drive a culture of continuous improvement via testing, experimentation, and audience targeting strategies
* Support forecasting efforts by providing actionable insights into traffic trends and performance drivers
* Work closely with the SEO Manager to deliver a joined-up approach to the SERP strategy
* Stay on top of industry changes and evolving media opportunities, adjusting strategy as needed
* Support marketing initiatives for Ideas and Workshops, ensuring paid media aligns with wider business goals
* Manage and develop the Digital Advertising Executive, including setting objectives, coaching, and supporting their career development
About You
* Proven experience planning and executing digital advertising campaigns, either in-house or agency-side
* Experience managing relationships with media partners (e.g. Google, Meta, TikTok)
* Strong collaborator with the ability to work cross-functionally
* Analytical and results-driven with a commercial mindset and a deep understanding of KPIs, ROI, and campaign measurement
* Proficient in Google Ads, Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager (platform reporting); strong Excel skills are a must
* Up to date with the latest trends and innovations in digital marketing, media platforms, and performance tracking
* Exceptionally organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities simultaneously
* Excellent communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders and present insights clearly and confidently
* Comfortable working in agile and fast-paced environments, adapting quickly to change
* Proactive problem-solver with a can-do attitude and a continuous improvement mindset
Nice to have
* Knowledge of server-to-server (S2S) tracking, pixel set up, and resolving event matchback or attribution issues
* Experience using Looker Studio for dashboard creation and visual reporting
