Email, verbal and phone call communication skills. WMS systems- they use DLX Health and safety driven, drive the warehouse team to follow all health and safety requirements. Manage direct reports. Investigations of incidents. Daily checks for warehouse. Flexible approach to hours. Manage daily work load for multi customers. This is a working role so there will be times there is expectations of working on the shop floor along side the colleagues. Inbound and outbound management. To organise, prioritise and manage the activities within the operation to ensure deadlines are met. To control costs and embrace a culture of continuous improvement, constantly looking for cost cutting initiatives. Investigations of incidents. Essential Skills: As a Shift Manager it is essential that you: Confident decision maker. Strong leadership and motivational skills. Excellent people management skills. Excellent communication skills – written, telephone and in person. Desirable Skills: As a Shift Manager it is desirable that you: Previous supervisory experience within a similar environment. Analytical and logical approach to problem solving. Skilled in warehouse activities. Good administration and organisational skills. Able to supervise and communicate with all levels of colleagues. Ability to work on own initiative as well as leading a team. Good understanding of spreadsheets and other Microsoft packages. Flexible with work hours, days and able to work overtime as required.
