About the Role We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Bristol. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems for our advanced control and automation projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high variety of panels, from large Motor Control Centres (MCCs) to small and intricate machinery-mounted control panels, in a collaborative and innovative environment. Key Responsibilities Design and develop electrical systems, including schematics, layouts, and specifications, using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN). Create designs for a diverse range of control panels, including large-scale MCCs and compact, intricate machinery-mounted panels, tailored to client specifications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical designs with control systems and mechanical components. Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and compliance checks to ensure designs meet industry standards (e.g., IEC 60204, IEC 61439). Prepare detailed technical documentation, including wiring diagrams, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and project reports. Liaise with clients to ensure project requirements are met on time and within budget. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance design efficiency and innovation. Requirements Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is a plus, but equivalent experience will be considered. Minimum of 3 years experience in electrical design, preferably in control systems, automation, or industrial engineering. Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar). Knowledge of electrical standards and regulations (e.g., IEC 60204, IEC 61439, IET Wiring Regulations). Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Eligibility to work in the UK.
