Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing accurate financial reporting. This role requires proficiency in accounting software Xero, and Bright Pay to facilitate efficient financial management.
Responsibilities
* Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
* Process company payroll for our employees across our 4 venues within the Top Joe's franchise
* Process accounts payable and receivable transactions in a timely manner.
* Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
* Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
* Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies as needed.
* Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support decision-making.
* Ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
* Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, accountant or a similar role is desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided.
* Strong understanding of accounting software Xero and Bright Pay.
* Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
* Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
