This school is seeking a dedicated and experienced KS1 Class Teacher to join the team in a dual capacity as KS1 Phase Lead. This is a full-time temporary position starting in January 2026 (or earlier if available).
As the Class Teacher, you will take full responsibility for a Key Stage 1 class, planning and delivering engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners. You will be expected to create a positive and stimulating classroom environment, assess pupil progress, and work closely with parents and carers to support children's development.
As the KS1 Phase Lead, you will oversee the strategic development of the KS1 phase (Years 1 and 2), supporting colleagues with planning, assessment, and behaviour management. You will lead phase meetings, monitor teaching standards, and contribute to whole-school improvement initiatives. This role requires strong leadership, excellentmunication skills, and a passion for raising standards across the phase.
What you'll need to succeed:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
2. Substantial experience teaching in KS1 (Year 1 or Year 2)
3. Proven leadership experience, ideally as a Phase Lead or similar role
4. Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks
5. Ability to lead and inspire a team of teachers and support staff
6. A reflective and proactive approach to teaching and leadership
