Despatch Manager Shift- Full time- Monday- Friday 08:00-17:00 Location- Onsite, Lincoln Salary- £45,428 DOE Are you an experienced leader in despatch operations looking for your next challenge in a fast-paced FMCG environment? We’re looking for a Despatch Manager to lead and manage our despatch function, ensuring efficient operations that meet customer, quality, and safety standards—while inspiring and leading a high-performing team. The Opportunity As Despatch Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring orders are fulfilled accurately and on time, resources are optimised, and operations meet both internal and external standards including BRC and customer audits. You’ll also be a key voice in driving continuous improvement across our despatch processes. What You’ll Be Doing * Leading the Despatch department to meet health & safety, quality, and efficiency targets * Downloading customer orders and planning vehicle despatches * Managing trailer/equipment availability and fleet asset maintenance * Monitoring KPIs to drive cost control and labour efficiency * Ensuring compliance with audits, training, and SOPs * Coordinating with internal teams, contractors, and customers to maintain service levels * Managing offsite storage operations during peak periods, ensuring efficient use of external facilities and seamless coordination with internal teams * Overseeing the Fresh department’s MHE (Materials Handling Equipment), tracking and trending spend including repairs and servicing, and identifying opportunities for cost savings * Leading initiatives to improve performance in areas such as equipment utilisation, operational efficiency, and reliability * Championing Branston’s How We Do Business values every day What You’ll Bring * Preferred: Minimum 2 years in a management role within FMCG * Essential: Proficient in Microsoft Office and email communication * Essential: Excellent leadership, communication, and people-management skills * Essential: A proactive, organised mindset with a strong focus on operational excellence and team development Benefits * 4.5 working week, finishing at 12:30pm on a Friday * 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays * Company bonus scheme * Enhanced pension contributions * Life Assurance & critical illness cover * Onsite Parking * Discounts platform * Long service celebrations * Employee Assistance Programme * Free fruit & potatoes * Electric salary sacrifice car scheme * Flu vaccines * Refer a friend scheme Why Join Us?
