About the Community Rehabilitation Service
The Community Rehabilitation Service provides a flexible range of mental health interventions to help clients with complex mental health needs manage their mental health more effectively and remain in their own homes. The team works closely with Social Care and housing providers to ensure clients have the necessary resources to engage in their rehab journey. The clinical team includes Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Nurses, and VCSE Workers.
Job Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our new North Kent Community Rehabilitation Service.
Individuals are expected to provide input between 08:00 and 20:00, including some evenings, weekends, and public holidays, according to service needs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Work as an experienced member of the multi-disciplinary care team as a senior occupational therapist.
2. Identify, develop, and contribute to occupational therapy within the service, tailored to service user needs.
3. Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate therapeutic interventions for service users.
4. Manage a caseload of service users with occupational needs, using evidence-based, service user-centred, hope and recovery-oriented principles.
5. Supervise junior staff and students.
