· Location London, Greater London · Salary £14.97/Hourly · Job type Temporary · Industry Public Sector and Government · External Reference 7294 · Category Public Sector - Local Government Administration JOB TITLE: Admin Officer (Finance Team) LOCATION: Wandsworth (SW18 2PU) - Hybrid working (2 days in office, 3 days wfh) PAY RATE: £14.97 paye Per Hour DURATION/HOURS: 3 months (possible extension)/ Mon-Fri 36 hours (5 days) START DATE: ASAP Role purpose: To provide comprehensive administrative support to the Finance Team within the Adults Social Services & Public Health Directorate, helping to ensure the Finance Teams are working efficiently and effectively by providing support as and when required. Duties & Responsibilities: · To provide administrative support to the Finance Team. · To work as required in ways that develop good working relations and collaborative arrangements with partner and other external organisations. · To support the Finance Officers and work with colleagues in the development and maintenance of procedures and systems. · To act as the first point of contact dealing with internal and external customers, by phone, email and face-to-face, resolving basic queries at first point of contact, where possible, including dealing with matters of a sensitive and confidential nature. · Referring any complex queries to the appropriate area of finance · Meeting preparation, including booking rooms, inviting delegates, ordering refreshments, preparing and distributing documentation · Producing a variety of high-quality documentation (advanced word-processing), accurately and to deadline. · To maintain existing Excel spreadsheets and produce new spreadsheets as and when required · To update and maintain databases accurately, collating statistical information and reports as directed, including social care databases. · To undertake daily administrative tasks, such as managing and delegating from a shared electronic mailbox, scanning, photocopying, stationery supplies, as required. Knowledge, Skills & experience: · Good knowledge of office environments and administrative procedures and processes. · Good knowledge of supporting, coordinating and delivering within a project work-stream. · Good knowledge of the Data Protection Act 1998. · Good experience of developing and maintaining record keeping processes and systems. · Good experience of handling confidential and sensitive information appropriately. · Strong knowledge of standard IT packages to an advanced level (MS Office - Outlook and Word) and ability to learn new ones.
