Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optical Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our optical practice, ensuring that patients receive exceptional service and care. This position requires a blend of technical skills and customer service abilities, making it ideal for individuals passionate about eye care and helping others.
Responsibilities
* Assist optometrists and opticians in providing high-quality eye care services to patients.
* Prepare patients for examinations by performing pre screening
* Help in the fitting and adjustment of eyewear, including spectacles and contact lenses.
* Provide guidance to patients regarding the selection of frames and lenses based on their needs.
* Manage patient records accurately, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
* Educate patients on proper care for their eyewear and contact lenses.
* Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall patient experience.
Skills
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and colleagues.
* Attention to detail with strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
* Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
* Proficiency in using optical equipment and technology is an advantage but not mandatory as training will be provided.
