Offering road, rail and port links ensuring efficient nationwide coverage. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an Operations Manager to join their team. As the Operations Manager your main role will be to take the lead on a newly awarded contract. This position will oversee both warehouse and transport functions, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and maintaining high standards of service delivery in line with customer SLAs. Key duties will include: Oversee all operational activities across warehousing and transport for a newly implemented customer contract. Manage and support two Warehouse Managers, along with Supervisors, FLT Drivers, and Warehouse Operatives. Ensure timely and accurate despatch of goods, working closely with internal teams and the end customer. Monitor delivery schedules and work with the transport team to ensure deadlines are met. Implement and continuously improve processes, focusing on efficiency and compliance. Maintain a strong focus on health & safety across all areas of the operation. Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally. Produce regular performance reports and contribute to operational planning and decision-making. Resolve operational issues quickly to avoid disruption and maintain service levels. Essential Requirements: Experience in a senior operations role within logistics, warehousing, or supply chain Proven ability to manage and lead large teams across both warehouse and transport functions Confident in implementing new processes and driving change Strong understanding of customer service standards and service level agreements Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills Knowledge of H&S and compliance regulations within a logistics/warehouse setting This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys leading teams, and driving improvements.
