Responsibilities
* Report to the Executive Pastry Chef and prepare pastries, breads, rolls and cakes according to the business’s recipes and quality standards.
* Be quick, efficient and accurate, providing a prompt service delivery. Follow the clear directions of the Executive Pastry Chef and learn the importance of consistency and cost control.
* Receive and account for supplies and deliveries; follow correct hygienic food handling practices and the restaurant’s cleaning and waste disposal practices.
* Lead and support junior members of the team and produce own work in accordance with deadlines and quality guidelines.
What we are looking for / Qualifications
* Passion for food with excellent kitchen knowledge and an understanding of food safety and hygiene for the environment you will work in.
* Relevant NVQ or professional qualifications preferred; technical skills and flexibility are important.
* Experience as a Pastry Demi Chef de Partie or Chef de Partie in a 5‑star establishment and/or experience in a Michelin star or AA Rosette restaurant.
* Immaculately presented with customer service skills; ability to engage with guests is highly valued.
* Good levels of written and spoken English; eligible to work in the UK. Fluency in a second language is beneficial.
