SEN Teaching Assistant - SEN Schools - Ipswich - Start Date September
Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join specialist SEN schools in Ipswich. This is a full-time, Monday-Friday role starting September, supporting pupils with a wide range of complex needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, PMLD and communication difficulties. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident practitioner with strong SEN experience who is passionate about helping children access learning, develop independence, and thrive in a specialist setting.
The schools are looking for patient, resilient and proactive TAs who can provide consistent, high-quality support and build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
CONTRACT DETAILS
* Location - Ipswich
* Position - SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN Schools)
* Type of work - SEN support (1:1 and/or small group)
* Start date - September
* Duration - Ongoing / Long-term
* Full time/part-time - Full time, Monday-Friday
* Minimum rate of pay - £90-£110 per day
* Hours - School hours (approx. 8:30am - 3:30pm)
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience working with SEN (essential)
* Experience within SEN schools or specialist provisions (highly desirable)
* Understanding of behaviour strategies, sensory needs and differentiated support
* Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable)
* Relevant TA/SEN qualifications (desirable)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
* Hold Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
* Provide two professional child-related references
