At Bishop Auckland College, we are seeking to recruit Learning Support Assistant to join our inclusive and supportive team. This role is vital in providing one-to-one and small group support for our learners across a range of vocational and academic programmes.
Responsibilities
* Provide one-to-one and small group support for learners across vocational and academic programmes.
* Support learners to access learning, adapt materials, and participate in classroom activities.
Qualifications and Experience
* Ideal candidate will have, or be working towards within 1 year, a CACHE Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent level 3 qualification in classroom support.
* Level 2 in Literacy (GCSE English grade C/4 or above).
* Experience of supporting young people with additional needs.
Safeguarding and Compliance
* This role includes safeguarding responsibilities and the postholder will be engaging in regulated activity.
* Any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as well as other required pre-employment checks.
