Banding: Band 5

Working Pattern: Full-time
Rate: Day: £19 – £22 per hour
About the role:
The Pharmacy team at seeking a dedicated and skilled Band 5 Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Band 5 Pharmacy Store Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the pharmacy stores and distribution services. You will be responsible for managing a dedicated team, ensuring the efficient and effective running of day-to-day operations. Your leadership will be vital in maintaining high standards of service, stock management, and compliance with safety regulations. This role is perfect for a proactive and organized individual with a passion for improving pharmacy services and patient care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Team Management: Lead and coordinate the stores & distribution team, ensuring smooth daily operations.
* Service Provision: Ensure an efficient top-up and distribution service to all wards and departments.
* Stock Management: Conduct regular stock level and expiry date checks in line with SOPs.
* Training & Education: Participate in the training of pharmacists, technicians, and assistants.
* Project Support :Contribute to trust-wide and departmental projects requiring stores & distribution expertise.
* Waste Reduction: Maintain and rotate stock levels to minimize waste.
* Supervision: Oversee tasks such as cycle counts, picking lists, and stock management.
* Compliance: Ensure adherence to Good & Safe Practices and the Health & Safety at Work Act.
* Storage Management: Ensure proper storage of medicinal products, maintaining temperature requirements.
* Ward Service Coordination: Manage the ward topping-up service and produce weekly rotas.
* Stock Review: Regularly review ward stock lists with colleagues.
* Medical Gases Management: Oversee medical gases storage and supply, ensuring training requirements are met.
* Staff Training: Assist in training and accrediting Pharmacy Assistants, Technicians, Pharmacists, and Pre-registration trainees.
* Procedure Adherence: Train new staff in ward topping-up procedures and monitor their progress.
* Record Keeping: Ensure SOPs are followed, and records are maintained accurately.
* Drug Recall Coordination: Manage actions related to the department’s drug recall procedure.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Essential: Registered Pharmacy Technician with GPhCMinimum of 2 years’ staff management/supervision experienceMinimum of 2 years’ experience working within a pharmacy stores and distribution service
* Desirable: Strong leadership and coordination abilitiesProficiency in using the Epic system for stores and distribution
