Looking for SEMH Support Worker in Spilsby, Lincolnshire!
Job Title: SEMH Support Worker
Location: Spilsby, Lincolnshire
Salary: £88.94 - £100 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Start Date: Immediate

About the Role:

As an SEMH Support Worker in Spilsby, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with SEMH needs, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. You’ll work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities of SEMH Support Worker:

* Support the development and implementation of tailored support plans for students with SEMH needs.
* Provide one-on-one and small group interventions to help students manage their emotions and behaviour.
* Monitor student progress and adapt support strategies accordingly.
* Collaborate with staff and external professionals to ensure holistic support.
* Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive school culture.
* Use a variety of strategies and resources to meet diverse student needs.
* Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders.

Requirements of SEMH Support Worker:

* Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to build trust and positive relationships with students and staff.
* A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach to support.
* Relevant training or qualifications in SEMH or behaviour support are desirable but not essential.

To work with GSL Education as an SEMH Support Worker, you will need:

* The right to work in the UK.
* An up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last 2 years.
* An enhanced DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.

Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks; including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
