Hours: Part / Full time (full time is 37 hours)
Pay: £23.61 - £27.01 per hour depending on experience (pending pay review)

We are looking for an experienced Urgent / Emergency care practitioner with extensive clinical experience in minor injuries and illness, in an urgent and/or primary care setting, to work in our services across Doncaster. The candidate will be a Non-Medical Prescriber and possess an accredited minor illness course with the ability to assess and treat a full range of adult and paediatric, acute and urgent conditions.
Responsibilities
* Practice under senior supervision as a practitioner, participating in the care of and undertaking assessment, diagnosis, treatment / referral and discharge of patients presenting with minor injury and illness within agreed parameters
* Provide advanced clinical skills and advice demonstrating a sound understanding of identification, assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of a client group whilst working autonomously
* Provide advice, information, knowledge and support to staff
* Identify local, demographic, cultural and environmental factors that influence health and quality of life
* Utilise non-medical prescribing qualification adhering with local formularies, policies and Clinical Governance to provide appropriate non-medical prescribing support for the organisation
* Undertake annual audit of prescribing practices
* Ensure child protection and vulnerable adult legislation is adhered to within practice and service
* Assist with development and evaluation of policies/guidelines/protocols for advanced and specialist clinical practice
* Review and evaluate own role and clinical practice with Clinical Lead
* Plan and manage own workload and service workload to meet patient needs
* Promote positive relationships with stakeholders within the service
* Contribute to clinical governance, including adverse incident reporting/investigation and complaints management as appropriate
* Be involved in peer review of practice
* Be flexible to support service needs across sites and home visiting service
* Act in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct or other relevant professional body
Safeguarding and Professional Practice
* Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility; attend training to recognise signs of abuse and report concerns
* Role model standards of care and behaviour; maintain professional registration and CPD
* Maintain professional portfolio in line with advanced practice framework
* Ensure use of resources to meet service needs; advocate for patients and carers
* Participate in clinical supervision; follow CAS & NICE alerts; stay informed on NHS policy and NICE guidance in Urgent Care
* Non-Medical Prescribing: possess V300 qualification and review Personal Formulary annually
* Prescribing capacity and current professional registration required

Requirements and Qualifications
* Essential: 2+ years post-registration experience; practice in urgent care; non-medical prescribing (V300); minor injuries/illness assessment and treatment; teaching and supervision capability
* Desirable: experience in community urgent care or ED; paediatric assessment qualification; triage qualification; DPP; minor injury qualification
* Vaccinations: Hepatitis B and BCG preferred/available; Covid-19 and Flu vaccines desirable
* Professional: valid registration; independent mentor/teacher qualifications; experience with clinical supervision
