We have a current opportunity for an Electrical Engineer on a contract basis for a 6-12month project assignment with the possibility of extension upon successful completion of the project. The position will be based in East Kilbride with an engineering and construction company.
Design electrical systems to relevant IEC standards
Perform lighting calculations using relevant software
Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings
Ensure electrical designs meet safety codes and regulations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical and instrumentation engineers
Provision of technical support to the tendering and project teams.
Review/approval of installation drawings and diagrams.
Review/validation of vendor designs and documentation - mechanical packages and motors, (1kw to 3000kW).
Integration with other staff to ensure the cost-effective development and execution of the complete project.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
~5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting
~ Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards (IEC), and safety practices
~ Proficiency with AutoCAD and other relevant design software
